how can I help ?

canines were bred down from wolves and socialized, over time they have learned to carve out a living by being an aid to humankind. in exchange for love and a steady supply of food - they bring all of their canine skills to the forefront on our behalf. koda can barely contain herself as she sits by the rear passenger door waiting to load up. this trip is to her familys' remote mountain cabin where her duties include black bear patrol. this is not her first rodeo, she can smell and hear the bears from a great distance. if / when a bear is detected, her behavior is increasingly agitated and she becomes very vocal to warn the family of danger. how cool is that?

— Mark Twain
Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day.

— Jarod Kintz
All his life he tried to be a good person. Many times, however, he failed. For after all, he was only human. He wasn’t a dog.

— Charles M Schulz
Petting, scratching, and cuddling a dog could be as soothing to the mind and heart as deep meditation and almost as good for the soul as prayer.

— Dean Koontz
Don’t accept your dog’s admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful.

A dog will make eye contact. A cat will, too, but a cat’s eyes don’t even look entirely warmblooded to me, whereas a dog’s eyes look human except less guarded. A dog will look at you as if to say, ‘What do you want me to do for you? I’ll do anything for you.’ Whether a dog can in fact, do anything for you if you don’t have sheep [I never have] is another matter. The dog is willing.
— Roy Blount Jr.
